Size I Hook

Tulle

 

Cut tulle in 2” strips (for small scrubbie use 1” strips). Tie ends together as you go or before crocheting.

 

#Ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.

Row 1: Ch 2 (counts as 1 DC) 19 more DC’s  in ring. Sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch2. (20 sts)

Row 2: Ch 2, DC same st, *DC nxt st, 2 DC nxt st*, rep between *’s arnd. SL ST in 2nd ch of beg ch 2. (30 sts)

Row 3: Ch 2, DC same st, *DC nxt 2 sts, 2 DC nxt st*, rep between *’s arnd. SL ST in 2nd ch of beg ch 2. (40 sts)

Row 4: Ch 2. DC each st arnd.  (40 sts)

Row 5: Ch 2. DC nxt st. *Dec over nxt 2 sts. Dc nxt 2 sts*. Rep arnd. Sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch. (30 sts)

Row 6: Ch 2. Dec DC over nxt two sts. *DC nxt st. Dec DC over nxt two sts*. Repeat arnd. Sl st in 1st  DC.  (20 sts)

Row 7: Ch 1. DC nxt st. *Dec over nxt two sts.*  Repeat arnd. Skip beg ch 1. Sl st in 1st DC of row. (10 sts)#

 

Finish off and tuck in ends.

Using Red Hart Baby yarn in color of choice and size I hook, follow instructions above for rows 1-7.

Row 8: Sl st nxt st and each st arnd shaping circle to match size of beginning circle. Join with sl st in beg sl st.

 

Finish off and tuck in ends.

  Flower Button (flower can be stitched onto items or held in place by

  a string of yarn-as I do when using it as a towel topper button)

 

  Materials:

  Size J crochet hook

  1 skein Peaches & Cream in color of choice-red shown in photo (2.5oz.)

  

  With red ch 6. Join with ss in 1st ch.

  Row 1: Ch 1, *1sc, ch 3 in circle* five times.  Join with ss in beg sc.

  Row 2: (Sc, hdc 2dc, hdc, sc) in same ch-3 sp{flower petal made}. (Sc,

  hdc,   2dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-3 sp arnd. Join with ss in 1st sc of row.

  Row 3: Ch 2, sc in first petal between the 2 dc’s. Ch 4, *sc between 2 dc’s

  of next petal. Ch 4* five times.  Join with ss in beg sc.

  Row 4: *Sc, hdc, 4dc, hdc, sc* in each ch-4 sp arnd. Join with ss in beg sc.

  Row 5: Ch 2, *sc in between 2nd & 3rd dc of nxt flower pedal in row 4, ch  

  5*, repeat five times. Join with ss in beg sc.

  Row 6:  *Sc, hdc, 6dc, hdc, sc* in each ch 4 sp arnd. Join with ss in beg sc.

  Row 7: Ch 3, *sc in between 3rd & 4th dc of nxt flower pedal in row 6, ch  

  6*, repeat five times. Join with ss in beg sc.

 

  Change to green

  Row 8: *Sc, hdc, 3dc, ch 1, 2 trc, ch 1, 3dc, hdc, sc in each ch 6 sp arnd.  

  Join with ss in beg sc. Finish off.

 

  Tie flower to bottom part of towel topper and thread through button hole. I 

  always tie on my homemade buttons so that I can change them, according to

  the season or my mood, when I want to.
